INDIVIDUAL THERAPY & COACHING FOR ADULTS IN CHATTANOOGA, TN
Your emotions are a map. Therapy helps you read it.
When the strands of life feel tangled, I help people navigate back home to themselves.
In Loving Memory of Hank
I offer a limited number of free, one-time sessions for those navigating the early days of pet loss. If you’re in the first few weeks of grief, you don’t have to carry it alone.
This is for you if…
WHO THIS IS FOR
You have been managing this on your own for a long time. And you are good at it, which is part of the problem.
The feelings that keep showing up aren't random. They are information. You just haven't had anyone help you figure out what they are saying.
That is exactly what therapy is for.01YOUR IDENTITY IS UNRAVELING
The sport ended. The role changed. You woke up one day and didn't recognize yourself. The thought "I don't know who I am" shows up more than you'd like.
02YOU ARE ALWAYS THE ONE GIVING.
Your friendships feel one-sided. You are there for everyone else but when you need support, nothing. You can't ask for help without feeling guilty. You've lost yourself somewhere along the way.
03SUCCESSFUL ON PAPER. BUT SOMETHING STILL FEELS OFF.
Nothing you accomplish ever feels like enough. You are doing well by every external measure and still feel like a fraud. "Too much and not enough" describes it perfectly.
This is for you if…
THIS IS FOR YOU IF
Sound familiar?
You’re an overachiever, but those quiet moments keep nagging at you.
You are the chronic giver who has lost yourself taking care of everyone else.
You are a former athlete who is making the adjustment away from your main identity: your sport
You feel misunderstood, even by yourself.
Maybe you’re saying...
Why do I react like this, even when I know better?"
"I feel like I'm carrying all of it and I'm exhausted."
"I don't know who I am anymore."
"I know what I should do. I just can't seem to do it."
You make sense in context. Questions like these tells us that you want to understand yourself— to know yourself— so that you can begin to make changes and create the life you want. We begin by understanding the context.
Together, we figure out what is driving those patterns. We dig into what needs aren't getting met. We reconnect you to what actually matters so you can build a life that feels like yours.
“True belonging only happens when we present our authentic, imperfect selves to the world. Our sense of belonging can never be greater than our level of self-acceptance."
— Brene Brown
WORK TOGETHER
Two ways to work together
TREATMENT-FOCUSED
Therapy for adults
Individual therapy for adults dealing with identity questions, major life transitions, chronic people-pleasing, and that feeling of holding everything together while quietly falling apart.
This is where we get underneath what's happening. We figure out what's driving the patterns, what needs aren't getting met, and how you move forward in a way that actually feels like you.
GOAL-FOCUSED
Coaching for Patterns
For people who want to work on specific patterns, behaviors, or goals outside of a clinical therapy framework.
Same directness. Same approach of figuring out what is underneath. Different structure. A good fit if you want to do the deeper work without the clinical context.
MEET LAUREN
Hi, I’m Lauren.
I'm a therapist in Chattanooga who works with adults feeling stuck, misunderstood, or just plain exhausted. My clients are usually reflective and motivated. They are not looking for someone to listen and nod. They want to understand what is actually going on underneath.
I specialize in people in transition: athletes redefining life after sport, high-achieving adults running on empty, and chronic givers who have spent so long taking care of everyone else that they've completely lost track of themselves.
My approach is warm and direct. I help people understand what their feelings, sensations, and reactions are communicating so they can listen and respond with greater awareness, creating more joy and less suffering in their lives. I'll sit with you in the hard moments. And when you are circling something without landing, I'll help you find what is underneath it.
